Dan has been in the health and fitness profession for over 25 years. As a former athlete in Australia, it seemed a natural progression to get into nutrition and strength and conditioning to not only improve his own performance but other athletes. After working in the field for several years Dan left Australia for Arizona to get his Masters and PhD from Arizona State. Dan’s career trajectory has moved him from working with athletes, to researching tactical individuals such as firefighters, military and law enforcement, to working in academia and for the past 5 years, working directly with individuals on their health and fitness journey.
As a former athlete training was mostly the focal point, and a good way to offset the moments of less than ideal nutrition, but as Dan has got older, combined with the responsibilities of family and work life, he has realized the importance of healthier nutritional and lifestyle choices and that youth and training are no longer the only antidote needed. As such, he has directed much of his attention to helping similar individuals balance their nutrition and lifestyle to foster better habits and ultimately achieve the fitness results they are looking for.
The necessity to move and feel healthier and have more energy as he gets older to enjoy all the highlights of life, family, social, vacations has become a huge priority not only for himself but also to help others that find themselves in similar situations.
