In today’s episode of the Smart Nutrition Made Simple Show, I’m sharing an interview I did on Coach Krista Kuchenbecker’s podcast. Krista is a registered nurse, personal trainer, and sports nutrition specialist who helps men and women ditch the diet mentality and feel healthy, strong, and confident, while still enjoying the foods they love.

In our discussion, we talk at length about the benefits of strength training, particularly in conjunction with the weight loss process. We talk about the need to shift the narrative away from “How do I eat as little as possible and exercise as much as possible to burn as many calories as possible”, to “How can I lose as much fat as possible while supporting as much lean muscle as possible”.

We also talk about the fundamental need to infuse more movement into our daily behaviors. As well as how to set realistic expectations around what the weight loss journey really looks like.
